SAFETY

What are the CDC’s COVID-19 guidelines for an outdoor event?

Key points from CDC.gov this week:

  • In general, you do not need to wear a mask in outdoor settings.
  • In areas with high numbers of COVID-19 cases, consider wearing a mask in crowded outdoor settings and for activities with close contact with others who are not fully vaccinated.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
  • Remember that some people without symptoms may be able to spread the virus.

Clearly Fort Desolation Fest is an outdoor event with plenty of space for social distancing. We’ve also installed hand sanitizer stations throughout the festival for your convenience.

WHAT IF I GET SICK BEFORE OR AT THE FEST?

If you get sick right before or at the festival and particularly if you’re diagnosed with COVID-19 or another easily communicable condition, please don’t attend Fort Desolation Fest. Send us an email at info@fortdesolationfest.com and we will work out a refund for you.

ARE PETS ALLOWED?

Unfortunately not. We adore our pets, but Fort Desolation Fest takes place on a working ranch with animals of its own, not to mention the thousands of humans milling around.

WHERE IS THE NEAREST MEDICAL FACILITY?
